Like Apple, Google has worked hard to create an ecosystem with Android and ChromeOS. 

Other operating systems share some ecosystem characteristics with Android and ChromeOS, but not all of them.

Both operating systems provide direct integration for each of the above functionalities. 

Some are also, by default, turned on. You should be aware of the following characteristics of the ChromeOS and Android ecosystems.

1. Nearby Share

Users can transfer files between nearby devices using the Nearby Share function on Android smartphones, tablets, and Chromebooks. 

Before, to get files sent between two devices via Nearby Share, you had to accept them on the receiving device.

Recent updates allow you to transmit files to other devices signed in with the same Google Account without requiring the recipient device to accept them. 

As a result, you can immediately share files with an Android or ChromeOS device close by. 

You need to turn on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi to use this feature. 

Once activated, the service will connect to other devices and enable file sharing automatically.

2. Fast Pair

To swiftly connect to Bluetooth accessories like speakers, earbuds, smart home devices, and more, utilize the Fair Pair feature. 

It’s accessible on ChromeOS and, more recently, Android. The apparatus and accessories you want to connect must both support quick pairing for this to function, though.

Open or turn on a device that supports Fast Pair to receive a notification on your Android Phone and Chromebook. 

The setup process can be easily continued by tapping the Setup button on the pop-up.

Your Android Phone and Chromebook will automatically connect after they are paired whenever you turn them on or approach them.

Thanks to the Phone Hub functionality, you can control numerous Android tasks from within ChromeOS. 

First, connect both devices via ChromeOS Settings. When everything is finished and your Phone has Bluetooth enabled, you can control it. 

Hotspot management, sound mode switching, and phone location are all possible with Phone Hub.

4. Recently Opened Chrome Tabs

This function of Phone Hub. It will be automatically enabled when you connect your Android Phone to ChromeOS, as demonstrated in the Phone Hub section above. 

On your Chromebook, it shows the two most recent Google Chrome searches. Go to the Chrome OS Shelf and choose the Phone Hub icon to view them.
